Dataiku is hiring a Data Scientist to join their London office. This is a unique hybrid role combining technical data science work with customer-facing consulting and support.
You will scope and co-develop production-level data science projects with enterprise customers across diverse industries and use cases. Beyond coding, you'll help users discover and master the Dataiku platform through training sessions, office hours, and ongoing consultative support. You'll provide strategic input to customer and account teams, ensuring clients succeed with the platform.
On the technical side, you'll leverage Python and SQL daily, with occasional work in R, PySpark, and JavaScript. You'll develop custom Python-based plugins in collaboration with Solutions, R&D, and Product teams to enhance Dataiku's functionality. You'll also provide data science expertise to Dataiku's internal sales and marketing teams.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on experience with Python and SQL, 2+ years building ML models using tools like scikit-learn, and familiarity with data visualization in Python and R. You should understand underlying data systems such as cloud architectures, Hadoop, or SQL databases. Strong communication skills are essential—you'll need to explain complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bonus experience includes consulting or customer-facing data science roles, data engineering, MLOps, web app development (JavaScript, RShiny, Dash), API building, enterprise data science tools, and a passion for teaching or public speaking.
