As a Data Scientist, you will join the MENA delivery team within Cognite's global delivery organization, working alongside data engineers, solution architects, and project managers with deep domain expertise. Your primary focus will be configuring, deploying, and operationalizing digital solutions for heavy asset industries. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and deploying scalable solutions for customer use cases using Cognite's core capabilities - Participating in intensive use case generation workshops with subject matter experts to map business problems to data - Performing data cleansing, exploratory data analysis, and data modeling - Implementing physical and machine learning models in Python and deploying to Cognite's model hosting environment - Working on agentic AI solutions to solve customer use cases - Collaborating with cross-functional teams on project deliveries - Supporting customers and partners in conducting data science tasks with Cognite products - Contributing to solution templates and best practices within the Data Science team Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Technology/Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.) or Master's in Science - 4-6 years of work experience as a data scientist, preferably in related industries or with domain expertise in Oil & Gas or Maintenance - Proficiency in Python and SQL, with production-level Python experience preferred - Strong knowledge of machine learning methods, statistics, and/or optimization - Experience with agentic AI solutions (required) - Experience with Git version control - Customer-facing experience with external clients - Cloud services experience (GCP, Azure, AWS) is a plus - Domain knowledge of Oil & Gas industry is a plus This role offers the opportunity to work on transformative projects that unlock value from previously hidden data, enabling workers and leaders in heavy asset industries to operate more efficiently and sustainably.
