Zocdoc is a healthcare marketplace platform that empowers patients to find and book in-person or virtual care across all 50 states, 200+ specialties, and 12,000+ insurance plans. As Data Science Manager for Provider Products, you will lead an analytical team responsible for understanding, growing, and serving the providers fueling Zocdoc's mission to become America's scheduling layer.
You'll manage a small team of data scientists with plans to expand as the work grows. This is a player-coach role where you contribute both individual analytical work and team leadership. Your team sits at the center of critical product and commercial decisions—from provider onboarding and engagement to measuring the value of Zocdoc's SaaS products in provider practices.
Key responsibilities include: leading and developing data scientists to build analytical judgment and technical rigor; setting the analytical direction for the provider domain and driving product strategy, experimentation, and measurement work; reviewing and guiding analytical approaches to ensure methodological rigor and clear communication of uncertainty; overseeing experimentation practices with well-defined success metrics and guardrails; interfacing with senior leadership on business decisions and opportunities; helping the team frame analytical problems effectively; identifying recurring analytical needs for standardization or self-service; hiring and onboarding data scientists who meet Zocdoc's technical bar; and leveraging generative AI tools to improve team workflows and capacity.
