You will join the Data team to build and lead a world-class Data Quality and Data Governance function. This is a hands-on role where you'll own the technical implementation of data quality standards across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain high-quality dbt models that are performant, well-documented, and thoroughly tested
- Partner with product engineering and business teams to translate business logic into programmatically enforced data quality rules
- Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to understand their needs and build models that improve data accuracy and visibility
- Champion best practices for data quality and testing across data engineering teams
- Investigate data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and work with stakeholders to resolve them
You bring strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt, building modular and scalable data models. You have previous experience working on data quality initiatives and understand dimensional modeling and how data quality is measured. Experience with validation tools like Great Expectations, dbt tests, Elementary, Soda, or Deequ is desirable. You're familiar with AWS data services (S3, Athena, Glue) and modern data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
You're a pragmatic problem-solver who balances technical excellence with business needs. You can architect custom solutions and act as a technical mentor, helping others across the company develop sophisticated data practices.
