Cyberhaven is hiring a Data Protection Analyst to join its Professional Services and Managed Services team. This role is foundational as the company scales its data security platform for the agentic enterprise.
You will analyze Cyberhaven's Data Detection and Response (DDR) platform event data to identify insider threats, investigate endpoint forensic incidents, and expose data loss risks in customer environments. Key responsibilities include performing technical analysis of security incidents, refining DLP policies and datasets as customer needs evolve, preparing reports for internal stakeholders, eliminating false positives from detection results, and conducting forensic analysis on users, groups, and unauthorized data egress destinations.
The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience with data protection or adjacent security tools (EDR, SIEM, SOAR) and 2+ years in insider threat or information security. You should be comfortable with endpoint protection best practices, DLP, insider threat detection, CASB, and sensitive data controls across macOS, Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Technical skills include SQL for analysis, dashboard building and maintenance, editing XML-based DLP rules, and scripting/API usage. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, with a customer-centric mindset and passion for cloud security.
Cyberhaven is backed by $250M from leading investors including Khosla and Redpoint. The team includes veterans from CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Meta, and Google. The company's mission is to trace the full lifecycle of data and adapt protection to changing context, enabling organizations to stay secure without slowing down workflows.
