Lead a team of data engineers building and maintaining the data pipelines, platforms, and integrations that power accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows at Deliveroo (part of the DoorDash group). This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll develop engineers, shape the team's roadmap, and remain close to delivery to ensure data products are reliable, scalable, and well-governed.
You will partner with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional Engineering teams to translate complex operational and regulatory requirements into automated, auditable solutions. The role requires strong Data Engineering and distributed-systems experience, including building production data pipelines and platforms at scale. Experience supporting Finance or Accounting workflows is beneficial, though the primary focus is finding an exceptional technical leader who can grow into the domain.
Key responsibilities include owning the strategic roadmap and execution for accounting infrastructure, including data pipelines, system integrations, and automation platforms that power financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance. You'll lead and mentor a team of engineers, setting technical direction and fostering a high-performance culture within a fast-moving, high-stakes financial environment. You'll drive measurable improvements in data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system scalability—directly enabling faster close cycles and audit readiness across the organization.
You'll report to the Senior Manager, M&A Accounting (Data), within the Accounting Revenue Data team in the Finance organisation. The role offers the opportunity to work within a vibrant local business environment while directly blueprinting global-scale processes for the broader DoorDash Inc. group, collaborating with teammates across Deliveroo, Wolt, and DoorDash US.
