Salary: USD 130,000 - 150,000 / annual

GoGuardian is seeking a Data Engineer II to design, build, and optimize the core data platform powering analytics, product insights, and machine learning across the company. You'll work on the Data Engineering team, collaborating with Data Science, Business Intelligence, and product teams to enable data-driven products and AI capabilities. Key responsibilities include designing and optimizing ETL pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and Airflow; developing and maintaining labeling and retraining pipelines for ML models; implementing MLOps practices including model versioning, CI/CD for ML, and production monitoring; and productionizing model training and inference pipelines with data scientists. You'll contribute to data lakehouse design (schema, partitioning, performance), document data architecture and lineage, champion data quality and governance, and leverage infrastructure-as-code and containerization for reproducible environments. Required qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 2–4 years building and operating large-scale data systems supporting analytics and ML; proficiency in Python and SQL with experience in PySpark or pandas; DBT experience; modern data warehousing/lakehouse platforms (preferably Databricks); workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect); strong data modeling and distributed systems knowledge; AWS data/compute services (S3, Lambda, ECS, CloudWatch) or equivalent; MLOps familiarity (feature stores, model registries, ML CI/CD); Infrastructure as Code experience (preferably Terraform); and excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
