Moody's Technology Services Group is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Corporate Systems team in Vilnius. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing cloud-based data solutions while contributing to scalable engineering practices and AI-enabled innovation initiatives.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and solutions on modern cloud data platforms. Key responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code in SQL, Python, and PySpark; building and optimizing data models, transformations, and ingestion processes for both batch and incremental workloads; and troubleshooting data pipeline issues to implement reliable, performant solutions.
The role requires collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions, participation in code reviews to ensure secure coding standards, and contribution to CI/CD processes using GitHub or Azure DevOps. You'll support knowledge sharing within the team around data engineering best practices.
Required qualifications include 3–5 years of software development experience with exposure to cloud-based data engineering, strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and PySpark, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field. Experience with agentic AI workflows and frameworks such as LangChain, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft AI services is a plus. You should be proficient with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC processes, with solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, curiosity and self-learning mindset, effective team communication, and hands-on experience with AI tools. Demonstrated proficiency in AI concepts and commitment to responsible and ethical AI practices are valued.
