DevRev is building Computer, an AI teammate that unifies data sources, tools, and workflows into a single AI-ready platform. The company, backed by Khosla Ventures and Mayfield with $150M+ raised, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own significant portions of the data architecture powering DevRev Computer's memory and customer-facing experiences.
In this role, you will design and operate scalable data systems that ingest, transform, store, and serve large volumes of data. You'll work closely with Software Engineering, AI Agent teams, Data Science, and Product to translate complex data requirements into reliable, high-quality data products. Key responsibilities include owning data architecture for large-scale projects, designing and optimizing data pipelines and models, defining data quality and SLA/SLO requirements, and building reusable infrastructure and tooling for data consumers.
You'll have significant technical ownership and the opportunity to influence the direction of the agentic data platform. The role involves establishing engineering best practices around testing, observability, and operational excellence, as well as mentoring engineers through technical guidance and design reviews. You'll identify opportunities to leverage data to improve products and business outcomes, and influence cross-functional teams toward high-impact solutions.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of software or data engineering experience building production systems, strong programming skills in languages like Go, Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript, and deep SQL expertise. You should have experience designing and operating production-grade data pipelines, working with relational and NoSQL databases, and independently driving projects from design through deployment. Preferred experience includes large-scale data platform design, cloud data infrastructure, distributed data technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink, Trino, BigQuery, Snowflake), and technical mentorship.
