As a Data Engineer, you'll join a dynamic team committed to creating cutting-edge solutions that significantly impact how industries operate. You'll work alongside industry leaders, solution architects, data scientists, and project managers to deploy and optimize digital solutions that empower clients to make informed business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement scalable, efficient data engineering solutions using Cognite Data Fusion®
- Drive integrations, extractions, data modeling, and analysis using Cognite data connectors, SQL, Python/Java, and REST APIs
- Create custom data models for data discovery, mapping, and cleansing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project deliveries to help customers unlock the full potential of the industrial dataops platform
- Conduct code reviews and implement best practices for high-quality, maintainable code
- Support customers and partners with data engineering tasks using Cognite products
- Contribute to development of Cognite's official tools and SDKs
- Partner with Engineering and Product Management teams to translate customer needs into prioritized product offerings
You'll need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience, with a minimum of 4+ years in a customer-facing, data-intensive role. Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and REST APIs for production-grade data pipelines is essential. Experience with distributed computing (Kubernetes) and managed cloud services (GCP/Azure) is required. Domain knowledge of oil & gas or manufacturing data sources is a plus. You should have a DevOps mindset, experience with Git and CI/CD, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
