As a Data Engineer, you will join a dynamic team committed to creating cutting-edge solutions that significantly impact how industries operate. You'll work alongside industry leaders, solution architects, data scientists, and project managers to deploy and optimize digital solutions that empower clients to make informed business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, efficient data engineering solutions using Cognite Data Fusion®
- Drive integrations, extractions, data modeling, and analysis using Cognite data connectors, SQL, Python/Java, and REST APIs
- Create custom data models for data discovery, mapping, and cleansing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project deliveries to unlock the full potential of the industrial dataops platform
- Conduct code reviews and implement best practices for high-quality, maintainable code
- Support customers and partners with data engineering tasks using Cognite products
- Contribute to development of Cognite's official tools and SDKs
- Partner with Engineering and Product Management teams to translate customer needs into prioritized product offerings
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; relevant experience can compensate
- Minimum 4+ years in customer-facing, data-intensive roles
- Production-grade data pipeline delivery experience using Python, SQL, and REST APIs
- Experience with distributed computing (Kubernetes) and managed cloud services (GCP, Azure)
- DevOps mindset with Git, CI/CD, and deployment environment experience
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently
- Cross-functional collaboration skills and willingness to share knowledge
Domain experience in oil & gas or manufacturing is a plus.
