Vega is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup building an AI-native platform for security operations centers (SOCs). The company is redefining security analytics and operations with a next-generation OS for security teams, already deployed at major global organizations.
As a Data Engineer on the AI team, you will design, build, and operate the data infrastructure that powers Vega's AI systems and agents in production. This is a foundational role responsible for the entire data lifecycle—from ingestion and storage through transformation, serving, and continuous optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building scalable data pipelines (both batch and streaming) that support AI model inference and agent operations at scale
- Owning the end-to-end data architecture: raw data ingestion, storage layer design, transformation logic, data serving, and iterative improvement
- Building and maintaining the semantic data layer that enables AI models and agents to access high-quality, reliable data
- Implementing monitoring, alerting, and validation checks to ensure data quality and operational excellence
- Working with diverse storage systems including data lakes, data warehouses, relational databases, graph databases, and vector databases to support varied AI workloads
- Partnering closely with AI engineers and researchers to translate model requirements and constraints into production-grade data infrastructure
- Defining and evolving the data strategy to support current and future AI applications
You will be part of a team building the data foundations for a rapidly scaling AI-native security platform, with offices in New York and Tel Aviv.
