Cloudflare is seeking a Data Center Selection Manager to join its global Infrastructure Strategy team. This role focuses on improving unit costs, expanding colocation sites and Points of Presence (PoPs), and identifying optimal locations for Cloudflare's infrastructure expansion worldwide.
You will leverage extensive industry contacts to navigate data center markets across multiple geographies, structuring vendor partnerships and contracts that align with demand dynamics. Key responsibilities include defining regional vendor strategies, owning end-to-end data center deals from RFP through commercial negotiation and execution, and managing relationships with top-tier colocation partners. You'll work cross-functionally with legal, operations, capacity planning, network strategy, and security teams to align infrastructure investments with business requirements.
Additional duties include conducting quarterly business reviews with key vendors, representing Cloudflare to partner C-suite executives and at industry conferences, serving as the expert point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, contributing to annual infrastructure budgeting, and reviewing colocation spend and invoices.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience planning and managing data center footprints within fast-moving enterprise technology, cloud services, software, or colocation companies. You excel at multitasking complex projects across geographies and teams, solving problems independently, and negotiating commercial terms. Experience with rack/site power/white space planning, network concepts, budget/financial analysis, Jira, and multilingual capabilities are valued. A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
