Rent the Runway is seeking a Data Analytics Manager to lead high-impact analytics initiatives and manage key data models that describe customers and business performance. You will partner cross-functionally with business leaders across the organization to arm stakeholders with data-driven insights and enable continuous improvements.
In this role, you will own the creation of rich reporting and data visualizations using Looker, enabling functional leaders to quickly digest information and make informed decisions. You will define KPIs and set attainable, stretch goals to drive continuous improvement across the company. The role starts as an individual contributor with opportunities to evolve into people leadership over time.
Key responsibilities include leading strategic analytics initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and fill data visibility gaps; working with Product and Engineering to ensure proper data collection; developing scalable, reusable, and well-documented data models that power dashboards and reports; collaborating with Data Engineering to design and optimize data pipelines; analyzing key business areas to uncover optimization opportunities; defining and monitoring KPIs; building and maintaining robust Looker dashboards; and driving best practices across the Data Team including governance and documentation.
You will need 6+ years of hands-on experience with large, complex datasets and delivering analytics solutions in fast-paced environments. Required skills include proficiency in SQL, data modeling, dimensional modeling, and dbt. Experience with Looker or similar BI tools (Sigma, Tableau), GitHub, and event data/product analytics tools (e.g., Heap) is essential. A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required; advanced degrees are a plus. You should demonstrate strong analytical judgment, ownership, and the ability to operate independently while communicating effectively with diverse audiences including business stakeholders, data engineers, and product teams.
