Veeva Ostro is seeking a Data Analytics Lead to own data systems and measurement analyses at the intersection of products, customers, and commercial strategy. The role combines technical leadership with strategic impact in the life sciences and AI space.
You will architect and scale the next generation of the data platform to be modern, scalable, and AI-ready. Key responsibilities include: upgrading existing data architecture to be high-fidelity and accessible for internal and external users; guiding customer data integrations in partnership with solutions engineering; upleveling the standard suite of analytics and measurement insights with the product team; executing custom analytical requests for clients; and directing and growing a team of data analysts and data engineers.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering roles, including managerial experience leading teams. You need deep hands-on expertise in SQL and Python, strong data modeling and advanced quantitative analysis skills, and the ability to work with large datasets. A strong command of modern data architecture—particularly in enabling AI readiness—is essential. You should have recent work experience related to pharmaceutical or life sciences (not necessarily at a pharma company), and an undergraduate or master's degree in a technical discipline (computer science, statistics, engineering, math, physics, etc.).
