Just Russel, Belgium's 6th fastest-growing company (Deloitte Fast 50), is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to own retention and pet health analytics. You'll design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt Core and BigQuery, ensuring data quality and architectural excellence across the organization.
Your core responsibilities include deep-diving into subscription and retention metrics—churn, customer lifetime value (CLTV), reactivation, and payback periods—using cohort analysis, retention curves, and attribution modeling. You'll integrate marketing and digital analytics data (GA4, Meta, Google Ads) to connect customer acquisition to long-term value, collaborate with data scientists on predictive models, and build dashboards that drive real business decisions.
You'll work embedded in a cross-functional tech team alongside product engineers, software engineers, and designers, serving as the go-to person for understanding customer behavior and pet health outcomes. Your technical toolkit includes dltHub for data ingestion, BigQuery for storage and architecture, dbt Core for transformation, Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Workflows) for orchestration, Looker Studio for visualization, and Python for deeper analysis.
You bring 4–5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or Data Analytics Engineer, ideally in e-commerce, subscriptions, or digital products. You have strong SQL and Python skills, hands-on experience with modern data stacks, and deep comfort with marketing analytics, attribution models, and subscription metrics. You understand data architecture proactively—thinking about cost, efficiency, and scalability—and communicate complex models to engineers and business insights to executives. You take ownership, thrive in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities, and hold a Master's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience. Fluency in English is required; Dutch is a strong plus.
