Checkout.com is a global fintech platform processing over 10 billion transactions yearly for companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. The Financial Infrastructure team builds and maintains core systems powering the internal financial ecosystem, processing hundreds of billions of financially-impactful events annually while ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and system reliability at scale.
As a Data Analytics Engineer I, you will design and build data pipelines to process data from systems, services, and applications serving the Finance and Treasury teams. You'll implement monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure pipeline performance and reliability, partner with other analytics engineers to design scalable data models supporting downstream business operations and analytical queries, and maintain data governance and security standards across systems.
Key responsibilities include translating Finance stakeholder requirements into technical specifications and SLAs, continuously evaluating new technologies to improve the platform, and taking ownership of data quality and pipeline accuracy as Checkout scales. You'll work in a fast-paced environment with real ownership, fewer blockers, and meaningful work from day one.
Required qualifications: 2+ years in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering with focus on large-scale data transformation and data warehousing; excellent SQL skills; experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS Redshift); proficiency with data transformation tools (dbt, Dataflow); understanding of data modeling techniques; experience with visualization platforms (Looker, Tableau, Apache Superset); knowledge of software engineering best practices applied to data systems; strong attention to detail; ability to work autonomously in dynamic environments; strong communication skills. Python, Java, or Flink experience is a plus.
The role offers a hybrid working model with three days per week in London office to support collaboration and connection.
