Salary: USD 91,300 - 140,000 / annual
Scopely is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Slate Development Group and support a high-profile, unannounced AAA mobile game project. You will be responsible for diving deep into large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making around player behavior, game performance, and trends.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing player behavior and game performance data to inform product strategies and optimizations
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges
- Defining key metrics, establishing data telemetry, and implementing KPI frameworks
- Taking ownership of end-to-end analytical projects from feature inception through robust reporting and monitoring
- Designing and assessing A/B experiments and delivering insights and presentations
- Communicating complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all organizational levels
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a Business Intelligence-related role
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with large datasets
- Proficiency with visualization tools (Looker preferred, or Qlikview, Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity and analytical rigor
- Interest in mobile games
Preferred qualifications include:
- Gaming industry background
- Educational background in statistics, economics, or related advanced degree
- Experience with BigQuery and Python/R
- Working knowledge of AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.)
- Experience supporting titles from development through live operations
- Knowledge of mobile action RPGs, character-collection games, or F2P genres
- Experience with both Chinese and Western game development cultures
- Mandarin and English proficiency
