Scopely is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Marvel Strike Force team on a fully remote basis, supporting players across the United States and Canada. Marvel Strike Force is Scopely's squad-based Hero Collector RPG featuring characters from the Marvel Universe. In this role, you will partner with product, design, economy, live operations, marketing, and leadership teams to transform data into actionable insights that drive player engagement, retention, monetization, and overall game health. You will own recurring business-health reporting for Marvel Strike Force, including KPI analysis, trend contextualization, variance explanations, and executive-ready narratives that explain what changed, why, and what actions to take next. Key responsibilities include analyzing player behavior across onboarding, progression, events, offers, and combat modes to identify risks and opportunities; designing and validating analytics tracking for new features and experiments; and using AI-enabled tools thoughtfully to accelerate analytical workflows—including data exploration, SQL/Python development, documentation, QA, and insight generation—while maintaining rigorous judgment around data quality, accuracy, and privacy. You should have a B.Tech or BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline, plus 2+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, product analytics, business analytics, or a similar quantitative role. You'll need strong proficiency with SQL and Python (complex multi-source queries), experience creating reports in Tableau or Looker, and familiarity with experimentation methodology (A/B testing, statistical significance, guardrail metrics). Excellent communication and storytelling skills are essential—you must translate detailed analysis into concise, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, live-service environment where priorities shift, data is imperfect, and decisions require both speed and rigor. Bonus qualifications include passion for games (especially RPGs, hero collectors, or squad-based combat), 2+ years in mobile gaming, experience with modern analytics stacks (dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Git, notebook-based analysis), and familiarity with player lifecycle metrics (onboarding funnels, retention, engagement, monetization, churn).
