Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Data Analyst for its Manufacturing Operations team in Santa Ana, California. The role focuses on leveraging data analytics to optimize production operations, improve manufacturing efficiency, and drive operational excellence across defense manufacturing capabilities.
You will develop actionable insights from production metrics and operational workflows to identify bottlenecks, enhance quality, and streamline processes. Key responsibilities include creating advanced dashboards and analytics tools using Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Python to measure performance metrics and communicate trends. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and IT teams to align analytics solutions with production objectives.
The role involves contributing to the integration and optimization of manufacturing systems (MES, ERP, WMS), supporting data workflow improvements, and leading Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives. You will monitor equipment performance, identify downtime patterns, develop predictive maintenance strategies, and conduct in-depth analysis of resource utilization and process flows. Additional responsibilities include developing and refining manufacturing KPIs, documenting processes and best practices, and staying current with emerging technologies in manufacturing analytics and digital transformation.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred), minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, business intelligence, or data analytics roles, and proven ability to develop insights that drive measurable improvements. You must have advanced skills in data visualization tools, understanding of manufacturing systems, proficiency in data modeling and statistical analysis, and strong communication skills for conveying complex data to stakeholders.
