Wisetack is a well-funded fintech startup (founded 2018, $84M raised) building transparent consumer lending products for service-based businesses like HVAC companies, veterinarians, and auto repair shops. The company is backed by top VCs including Insight Partners, Greylock, and Bain Capital Ventures, and has achieved strong recognition: ranked #21 on Inc. 5000 and #15 on Deloitte Fast 500 (2024), with an exceptional NPS score of 79. The Treasury team manages money movement across Wisetack's products, working closely with Product and Data Engineering to ensure accuracy between merchants, borrowers, and capital partners. As a Data Analyst II, you will own critical financial workflows and processes. Key responsibilities include: performing recurring finance operations such as loan sales to investors; designing, engineering, and maintaining automation scripts across business functions; reading, debugging, and modernizing existing SQL and Python pipelines (including inherited code); serving as a subject matter expert on loan data and finance processes for Customer Support, Product, and Finance teams; conducting ad hoc data analysis and communicating insights to internal and external partners; and building validations and financial-governance controls to protect against fraud and error. You'll combine a finance mindset with technical curiosity, using SQL, Python, and AI tools to work with large datasets, streamline processes, and investigate financial discrepancies. The role requires 2+ years of professional experience, a Bachelor's degree (Economics, Accounting, Finance, or similar preferred), essential SQL knowledge, Python experience or willingness to learn, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently on high-dollar processes while collaborating across technical and non-technical teams. An automation-oriented mindset and aptitude for AI tools are highly valued.
