VAST Data is a rapidly growing data platform company at the forefront of the AI infrastructure revolution. The company builds enterprise software to capture, catalog, refine, and protect massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training. VAST is seeking a Data Analyst for the Customer Success organization to transform data into actionable business insights.
In this role, you will work hands-on to build analytics and dashboard visualizations that deliver insights on core customer success metrics including Time to Response, Time to Resolution, Customer Satisfaction, NPS, and Feature Adoption. You will partner closely with Customer Success stakeholders to develop analytical solutions that improve reporting systems, data quality, and operational processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing SQL queries to extract, transform, and model customer success data while ensuring data integrity
- Developing ad-hoc reports and maintaining dashboards in Tableau
- Collecting, cleaning, and interpreting data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights
- Creating visually compelling data visualizations that represent metrics, trends, and performance
- Supporting data quality improvement efforts by identifying gaps and enhancing source data accuracy
- Using AI-assisted tools (Cursor, Claude) to accelerate SQL development and analytics work
- Managing analytics work in Jira and collaborating cross-functionally to streamline data processes
- Communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
You will bring 3-5 years of data analyst experience, proficiency in SQL and Tableau, and familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools. Customer Success domain experience is preferred but not required. A Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field is required. The role requires minimal travel (approximately 10% annually) and is based in Raleigh-Durham, NC.
