Planet is seeking a Data/Business Analyst to join their commercial analytics team in Berlin. You will sit at the intersection of Finance, Pricing, and RevOps, building the analytical infrastructure that powers Planet's commercial operations. Planet designs, builds, and operates the world's largest constellation of imaging satellites, delivering unprecedented Earth observation data via a cloud platform to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors.
In this hybrid role (3 days/week in Berlin office), you will own several high-impact areas: building data models to track quota and credit consumption; creating audit-compliant data products for financial validation; translating complex business logic into SQL and dbt pipelines; designing LookerStudio dashboards for executive insights; and performing rigorous data validation and reconciliation. You will work closely with Finance, Pricing, and RevOps stakeholders across US and European time zones, interpreting requirements and discovering new datasets in an agile, iterative environment.
You bring 4–6 years of data analysis experience with strong emphasis on Finance, commercial transactions, and SaaS platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite). Advanced SQL skills (BigQuery preferred), proficiency with dbt and Git, and coding language principles are essential. You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, or a similar quantitative field. You are curious, risk-tolerant, comfortable with light structure, and thrive in scale-up environments. You excel at collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and articulating complex information through clear dashboards and reports. The role also involves leveraging AI-assisted engineering—architecting logic, defining thresholds, and validating AI-generated code.
