Obie is a proptech-insurance platform that helps real estate investors and landlords access insurance coverage through advanced technology and a network of agents and partners. The company is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Revenue Operations and Analytics department's Business Insights team.
In this role, you will develop hypotheses to understand business drivers of growth or stagnation, conduct analyses on critical business questions, and build/maintain dashboards and reports using Sigma (the company's BI/data visualization tool). You'll support analytics, metrics, data, and reporting needs across departments including Growth & Channel Distribution, Product & Engineering, Insurance, Finance & Accounting, and the Executive team. You'll collaborate with Data Engineers, Insurance Product Analysts, and Operations Analysts.
Key responsibilities include supporting financial budgeting, forecasting, and tracking; developing insights into revenue operations; and ensuring data quality and governance. The ideal candidate has a strong mix of technical skills (SQL, Python, data visualization, AI), business acumen, and ideally insurance or financial services knowledge. You'll need strong ownership abilities, interpersonal skills, and the ability to strategize through problems while executing with discipline.
This is a fast-moving environment that values innovation, collaboration, and iteration. Chicago-based employees are hybrid, expected in office Tuesdays and Thursdays. The role offers the opportunity to impact the real estate and insurance market at a growing company.
