Rubrik is seeking a Cyber Resilience Architect (Field CTO) to drive technical strategy and business leadership across the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. This is a senior sales engineering and technical consulting role focused on transforming how large enterprises approach data protection, cyber recovery, identity resilience, and AI-driven security.
You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to C-suite executives (CIOs, CISOs, Board members), helping them modernize their security posture and align data resilience with measurable business outcomes including operational continuity, risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and AI readiness. Your primary accountability is influencing regional revenue by leading high-impact technical discovery, architecting differentiated solutions, and guiding strategic account execution across Tier-1 enterprise customers.
Key responsibilities include: executive advisory and thought partnership on modern data protection and cyber resilience strategies; revenue acceleration through technical discovery and solution design for 7-figure deals; deal orchestration using MEDDIC framework to qualify opportunities and neutralize competitive threats; product liaison work distilling field requirements into actionable insights for global product teams; technical leadership designing integrated solutions across on-premises, SaaS, identity, and multi-cloud environments with focus on cybersecurity including isolated recovery environments (IRE) and clean room recovery; and selective market evangelism at industry events and executive forums.
You bring 18+ years of sales engineering or technical consulting experience with consistent success closing enterprise deals in APJ. You have strong executive presence, deep expertise in data protection, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity (zero-trust, isolated recovery, cyber recovery), and are commercially astute at connecting technical strategy to financial impact. You thrive in fast-paced environments, handle multiple customer engagements daily, understand APJ market dynamics and regulatory landscapes, and possess an entrepreneurial mindset with strong work ethic.
