Salary: USD 120,000 - 150,000 / annual

At-Bay is seeking a Cyber Claims Counsel to join its growing claims team. At-Bay is an InsurSec provider combining industry-leading cyber insurance with cybersecurity technology to help businesses manage digital risk. The company serves 40,000+ customers, primarily small and mid-size businesses, offering integrated cyber insurance, Tech E&O, and Miscellaneous Professional Liability policies. In this role, you will handle complex first and third-party cyber, technology, and media claims. Key responsibilities include evaluating coverage and drafting coverage letters, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve cyber incidents, and managing exposure for cyber incidents and third-party litigation. You will develop strategy for handling third-party litigation, proactively set reserves, and report significant claims to management. You will serve as a trusted advisor to underwriting and risk functions, providing insights on claims trends and development. A critical part of the role involves fostering a feedback loop with underwriting and security teams to continuously improve products and the automated underwriting engine. You will cultivate strong relationships with brokers and insureds, delivering exceptional service that distinguishes At-Bay in the market. The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of experience handling complex cyber and technology claims, combined with a legal background. You must have a claims adjusting background and/or insurance practice experience as an attorney or paralegal, with a legal degree required. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine curiosity about cyber trends are essential. You should be comfortable partnering with external stakeholders and have a collaborative mindset focused on continuous improvement across the organization.
