Gusto is hiring a CX Business Intelligence Analyst to own the data infrastructure supporting the Customer Experience team's transformation. You'll build pipelines, models, and dashboards that make CX data trustworthy and self-serve, then leverage that foundation to answer causal questions about what drives customer outcomes.
Day-to-day responsibilities include: owning ambiguous analytical problems and designing measurement frameworks; delivering high-impact projects while balancing trade-offs; partnering with CX leaders, data science teams, and data engineering on strategy; applying advanced statistical methods and AI-driven anomaly detection to uncover opportunities and diagnose performance issues; defining DBT and Snowflake pipeline requirements for evolving CX data sources; building and maintaining monitoring systems and Streamlit dashboards; working independently to prioritize and deliver data projects; mentoring other data practitioners and scaling best practices in data modeling and schema design; and communicating complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You'll need 3+ years in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or Data Governance. Strong SQL and Python proficiency is essential, along with expertise in data modeling, schema design, and cloud platforms like Snowflake. You should have proven experience building robust data reporting pipelines and ETL workflows. Demonstrated experience designing or operating governance for AI-assisted analytics outputs is required—including validation standards for AI-generated code, drift audits on operational dashboards, and documented rules for human review on performance-adjacent data products. Clear communication skills and comfort working independently with competing priorities are critical.
Gusto supports 500,000+ small businesses with payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR services. The company offers competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) for all full-time employees. AI fluency is expected across all roles.
