Teamworks is seeking a Customer Success Manager II to establish and lead the company's presence in Japan, one of its fastest-growing markets. This is a foundational role where you'll be the primary face of Teamworks in Japan, building direct relationships with sports organizations and clubs while respecting local language and cultural nuances.
You will own the complete customer lifecycle for Japan-based clients across Teamworks' full product suite, including Hub, AMS (Athlete Management System), Strength & Conditioning, Recruiting, and Intelligence tools for coaching and player personnel. Responsibilities include driving renewals and account expansion, delivering continuous training to ensure clients maximize platform value, partnering with Professional Services and Intelligence teams on key accounts, and identifying new business opportunities within the Japan market.
The role requires deep credibility within the Japanese sports ecosystem—you must have prior experience as a player, coach, or operations staff member within a sporting organization. You'll translate technical concepts for coaches, medical staff, and administrators, guide organizations through software adoption, and serve as a trusted advisor. Strong project management, data literacy, and communication skills are essential. You'll travel throughout Japan regularly for in-person client engagements.
You must be fluent in both Japanese and English (spoken and written), as you'll be the primary bridge between Teamworks and Japanese clients. Prior experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or SaaS is a plus, as is familiarity with Teamworks products or similar athlete/team management platforms.
This is not a role where you inherit a playbook—you're writing it from the ground up, backed by a proven APAC model. Teamworks is the Operating System for Sports, powering 7,000+ organizations globally, from collegiate programs to every major professional league. The company was founded in 2006 and has grown to 600+ employees worldwide.
