Develop Health is an AI-powered healthcare automation platform focused on accelerating access to life-saving medications by automating complex processes like benefit verification and prior authorization. The company has helped over 2.5 million patients and partners with major pharmacy benefit managers and payers nationwide. The founding team includes veterans from successful healthcare exits (Rupa Health, Canvas Medical), and the company is scaling rapidly post-funding.
You will own a named book of digital health and pharmacy accounts post-sale, serving as the primary post-sale contact and strategic partner. Your responsibilities include establishing success criteria with each account, conducting regular check-ins and business reviews, monitoring account health through usage and support data, identifying early warning signs of churn, supporting renewals, and flagging expansion opportunities. You'll be the customer's advocate internally, bringing feedback and recurring issues to product and engineering with concrete examples, and resolving customer issues end-to-end with appropriate escalation.
This role is measured on retention, renewals, and volume growth—not a sales quota. You'll work closely with product and engineering teams and have a clear path to expand your strategic book of accounts as the company grows. The role does not involve managing people; it is an individual contributor position that requires learning a complex healthcare domain quickly, including prior authorization, benefit verification, PBM/payer dynamics, and how telehealth and pharmacy operations function.
Candidates from outside healthcare are welcome, though you must be able to learn the domain rapidly. You'll also need to become fluent in the product and explain it plainly to customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years in a post-sale, account-owning role (Customer Success, Account Management) with named accounts
- Demonstrated outcomes: renewals, saves, or growth on accounts you owned
- B2B experience with company customers
- Strong follow-through: track commitments and close loops without being chased
- Comfort reading and interpreting dashboards and data
BONUS:
- Account management experience at a health-tech, pharmacy, or pharma services company
- Pharmacy technician (CPhT) or pharmacy operations experience in a customer-facing role
- Experience supporting high-volume or integration-heavy customers (APIs, EHRs)
- Early-stage startup experience
- Proficiency with CS tools (Pylon, Gainsight, Vitally)
