Planet is a space and data company that designs, builds, and operates the world's largest constellation of imaging satellites, delivering geospatial intelligence to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors. As Customer Success Manager for Civil Government, you will manage and expand relationships with diverse public sector entities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa—including national governments, regional authorities, municipalities, and supranational organizations like space agencies and UN programmes.
You will own gross and net retention metrics across your book of business, ensuring long-term customer health and growth. Key responsibilities include partnering with Account Executives to build unified account strategies, mapping long-term account trajectories to identify risks and expansion opportunities, co-creating success plans and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) that demonstrate ROI, and building strong relationships across complex stakeholder networks. You will lead cross-functional internal teams through critical account milestones and navigate high-stakes customer situations with composure and sound judgment.
The role requires helping customers maximize the value of Planet's imagery and geospatial solutions for applications such as environmental monitoring, emergency response, land management, maritime surveillance, and sustainable development. You will need to navigate complex government structures, procurement cycles, and multi-country relationships while identifying connections between ministries and stakeholders to drive adoption.
This is a full-time hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the London, Berlin, or Haarlem office. You should have 4+ years of customer success, account management, or similar customer-facing experience ideally supporting government organizations. A bachelor's degree is required, along with working knowledge of remote sensing, GIS, or geospatial imagery products. Fluency in Russian and English is essential. Experience with CRM/CS tools (Salesforce, Gainsight, Zendesk), public procurement and tender processes, and organizational change management are valued. Willingness to travel to connect with customers and internal teams is expected.
