Estuary is seeking its first Customer Success Manager to build and own the post-sale function from the ground up. You will be the primary relationship owner for data engineers and platform leads who use Estuary's unified CDC, batch, and streaming platform.
In this hybrid role, you'll report directly to the CEO and own the complete customer journey from onboarding through renewal and expansion. Key responsibilities include:
- Building the CS function from scratch: designing onboarding workflows, health monitoring systems, and account management playbooks
- Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, running meaningful business reviews and stakeholder management
- Proactively monitoring account health, identifying at-risk situations, and troubleshooting technical issues (with escalation to Solutions Engineering when needed)
- Using AI tools to build dashboards, health views, and reporting to track account metrics and stakeholder relationships
- Identifying and driving expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Acting as an internal advocate for customer needs with Product and Engineering teams
You should bring 3+ years of CS or TAM experience in SaaS, data infrastructure, or developer tools. You're comfortable with technical concepts (APIs, databases, warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines) and can troubleshoot most issues independently. You have strong account management and communication skills, a builder's instinct, and the ability to use AI tools for reporting and analysis. Experience with data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery), streaming/CDC concepts, or tools like Kafka, Fivetran, or Airbyte is a plus, as is prior experience as an early CS hire at a startup.
Estuary offers competitive salary and equity, a collaborative early-stage team, remote-first flexibility with quarterly in-person offsites, and the opportunity to shape CS strategy and processes as the function scales.
