Neara uses advanced machine learning to create physics-enabled digital twins of electricity grids across four continents, helping utilities understand infrastructure challenges and optimize solutions. By simulating extreme weather and structural stress at network-wide scale, the platform empowers utilities to pinpoint risks, optimize investments, and build resilient energy systems.
As a Customer Success Engineer, you will own customer outcomes across a portfolio of enterprise accounts—utilities and infrastructure owners on different continents. You'll work across the full platform lifecycle, from helping stand up network models to supporting solutions like vegetation management. The role combines technical depth with customer-facing impact, requiring time on-site with end users.
Key responsibilities:
- Become deeply proficient in the Neara platform and underlying models, translating technical capabilities into customer value
- Get hands-on with model builds and refinements across customers, working closely with the Deployment team
- Drive adoption through hands-on support, focused training, and workshops aligned to customer workflows
- Track delivery against scope and business outcomes, managing change management and workflow optimization
- Build trusted relationships with customer engineers and teams, providing credible technical guidance
- Identify new pain points and business drivers that Neara can address, feeding insights to Sales and Deployment
- Share learnings across accounts and bring patterns back to Sales, Deployment, and Product teams
You'll see more ways Neara gets used and more problems it solves than almost anyone else in the business. This is ideal if you want to build deep technical and customer skills fast across a wide range of customers and problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Customer-facing experience from consulting, customer success, solutions, or technical roles working with enterprise customers and stakeholders
- Technical curiosity and fluency with enterprise software platforms and deployments; appetite to learn the engineering behind the platform
- Commercial awareness: understanding how technology creates business value and experience helping customers measure it
- Clear communication skills: ability to explain complex technical topics simply to both engineers and executives
- Outcome-first thinking: work backward from customer needs to technical solutions
- Strong relationship-building skills: build trust through credibility, authenticity, and transparency
- Proactive problem-solving: creative approach to solving customer pain points and creating commercial opportunities
- Bonus: experience in infrastructure or energy sector, or an engineering degree (not essential)
