Deepgram is the leading platform for Voice AI, providing real-time APIs for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and voice agents at scale. The company has processed over 50,000 years of audio and serves 200,000+ developers and 1,300+ organizations including Twilio, Cloudflare, and Vapi.
As a Customer Success Engineer, you'll serve as the technical advisor and strategic owner for a portfolio of enterprise accounts, partnering with developers, CTOs, and C-suite executives. You'll own the full customer lifecycle—from onboarding and adoption through technical enablement, expansion, and advocacy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive adoption through live demos, workshops, architecture guidance, and troubleshooting
- Run continuous discovery to surface customer problems and translate them into product requirements
- Identify and scope expansion opportunities (cross-sell, upsell, multi-product) in partnership with Sales
- Lead executive business reviews and joint planning sessions
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, influencing roadmap and GTM strategy
- Track adoption, usage, and health metrics; travel to customer sites as needed
- Build AI-first tools, agents, and workflows that eliminate recurring work and create leverage for the broader CS team
You operate at the intersection of three competencies: expert technical consulting (APIs, developer workflows, architecture), strategic account management (building trust, owning lifecycle, driving commercial growth), and AI-native operating model (using AI as your default way of working, not an occasional tool).
The role requires significant experience in technical, customer-facing positions—TAM, solutions engineering, enterprise CS with technical focus, implementation, or forward-deployed work at API-driven, developer-first, or AI companies. Typically 7+ years, though the shape of experience matters more than exact tenure. You'll have a track record blending customer ownership with technical depth, hands-on experience running demos and POCs with enterprise customers, demonstrated success landing expansion in complex accounts, and fluency discussing APIs, integrations, and developer workflows.
