Veeam is seeking a Customer Success Engineer to drive long-term technical outcomes for enterprise and commercial customers on the Veeam Data Platform. This is a mid-level, customer-facing technical role based in Warsaw, Poland.
You will own the technical success plan and adoption roadmap for 5–50 named accounts with $100K+ ARR, managing the full customer lifecycle from onboarding through expansion. Key responsibilities include:
• Account Configuration & Onboarding: Configure customer accounts, customize backup policies and storage, facilitate technical onboarding, orient stakeholders to admin portals, and introduce support channels.
• Migration & Adoption: Identify migration opportunities, analyze customer environments, conduct success planning sessions, and align business outcomes with product adoption.
• Technical Assessments & Planning: Conduct disaster recovery and resilience (DR&R) assessments, build protection plans, recommend Veeam Data Platform products and architectures.
• Resilience Reporting: Run recovery simulations, apply the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM) to track resilience posture, and deliver quarterly resilience reports with measurable value.
• Churn Prevention & Expansion: Monitor signals to detect churn risk early, define mitigation plans, partner on renewal strategy, and build business cases for expansion with clear TCO and value propositions.
• Executive Engagement: Engage CISO/CIO stakeholders with clear risk, status, and opportunity updates; support executive discussions and roadmap alignment.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales, CS leadership, and marketing on adoption campaigns and expansion plays.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in customer-facing engineering roles (Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales SE, Technical Account Manager) focused on data backup and recovery. Advanced English proficiency. Hands-on expertise in operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting/automation, cloud platforms, and DR&R best practices. VMCE certification required (may be completed post-hire). Proven ability to translate business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps. Strong executive stakeholder engagement skills and excellent communication.
