vCluster Labs is seeking a Customer Success Engineer to serve as the primary architect of customer outcomes post-sale. You will work with hyper-growth AI cloud providers and Fortune 500 enterprises to ensure they realize full value from their investment in vCluster's infrastructure platform.
In this role, you will own end-to-end customer onboardings, build and maintain living success plans tied to business objectives and KPIs, and translate platform adoption into measurable business outcomes. You will proactively engage customers through regular check-ins, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Executive Business Reviews—not waiting for customers to reach out. You will hold credible technical conversations with platform engineers, DevOps leads, and architects about Tenant Cluster deployment patterns, RBAC, Tenant Isolation, and Day 2 operations.
You will own the renewal motion for your accounts starting 90+ days before expiration, identify expansion triggers (new use cases, AI/GPU workloads, additional clusters, tier upgrades), and work with Account Executives and Solutions Engineers to convert them into growth. You will also serve as the internal voice of customers, representing their feature requests and providing actionable feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
vCluster Labs is the #1 platform for AI infrastructure, trusted by 50+ AI clouds and Fortune 500 companies. The company has raised over $28M from top-tier investors including Khosla Ventures and is in hyper-growth phase. The platform powers over 100,000 GPUs and 1 million CPUs. The company is behind the open-source vCluster technology (11,000+ GitHub stars, 40M+ tenant clusters created since 2021) and recently launched the Infrastructure Tenancy Platform for AI at KubeCon North America 2025.
Headquarters are in San Francisco (Salesforce Tower), with a distributed, remote-first team of 40+ infrastructure engineers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven post-sales experience in a technical role (customer success, technical account management, or professional services) with a track record of driving adoption and measurable business outcomes across a portfolio of technical customers
- Hands-on familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies; ability to engage with platform engineers on architecture questions, discuss RBAC and Tenant Isolation patterns, and hold credible conversations about cloud infrastructure
- Ability to communicate effectively across stakeholder ranges—from executive business reviews with technology leaders to technical troubleshooting with platform engineers
- Structured, proactive approach to customer success using frameworks like success plans, adoption milestones, and renewal timelines
- Commercial awareness and understanding of what drives renewal and expansion in SaaS/platform businesses
BONUS:
- Kubernetes certification (CKA or CKAD) or equivalent demonstrated technical depth in cloud-native infrastructure
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, GPU compute environments, or customers building internal developer platforms at scale
- Background in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, public sector) where compliance and governance add complexity
- Contributions to Kubernetes or open-source ecosystem
- Experience at Series B-D startup operating with autonomy and building repeatable post-sales motion from the ground up
