Octopus Electroverse is seeking a Customer Operations Specialist to join the operations team supporting its rapidly growing electric vehicle charging platform. Octopus Energy Group is a global energy transition collective with 10,000+ employees across 4 continents, and Electroverse has grown to become one of the largest eMobility players globally with over 1 million connected EV chargers in just four years. In this role, you will be the voice of the Electroverse brand, handling customer inquiries via email and online chat across a range of topics including sign-up questions, card requests, app feedback, and technical product issues. You'll deliver high-quality customer support consistent with Octopus Energy's reputation for exceptional service, while also engaging in operational process work and social media management. Key responsibilities include: - Managing customer communications and providing technical support to EV drivers - Representing Electroverse on social platforms with appropriate brand tone of voice - Staying current with product features and new releases to inform customer conversations - Pulling data from admin portals and reporting insights to the wider team - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand the customer ecosystem and identify improvement opportunities - Taking ownership of day-to-day operations while remaining flexible to pivot to emerging priorities as the business scales The role is based in the London office with hybrid flexibility (2 days per week working from home), standard hours 9am–5:30pm Monday to Friday. REQUIREMENTS: - Genuine enthusiasm for customer interaction and problem-solving - Excellent written communication skills with ability to adapt tone and approach based on audience - Organized approach to managing day-to-day communications and operations, with willingness to take on new tasks and opportunities - Comfort with technical work (e.g., data extraction, admin portal navigation, reporting) - Interest in and desire to learn about the EV and EV charging industry (prior EV knowledge not required) - Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-growing, multifunctional team
