The Credit department designs, develops, and launches credit products globally, managing everything from backend and frontend development to data science infrastructure and localized risk management solutions.
As Credit Policy Manager for Mortgage, you will be responsible for designing credit risk policies, procedures, and strategies for Revolut's mortgage retail lending launch in Lithuania. This is a growing product line, and you will manage validation of underwriting strategies while leading preventative and reactive actions to market and product offerings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating mortgage lending policies, procedures, and frameworks
- Building and scaling global underwriting systems balancing risk, operational efficiency, and customer experience
- Making data-driven decisions with focus on marginal decision-making
- Managing credit limits, risk-based pricing, retention strategies, and regulatory changes
- Adjusting risk-return requirements and portfolio returns based on emerging data
- Supporting annual budgets, sales forecasts, and planning through market/industry analysis
- Conducting quality assurance reviews for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Providing training and mentorship to strengthen credit risk management culture
- Contributing to product development and funnel optimization with the Mortgage Product Manager
- Tracking, communicating, and drawing insights from performance initiatives and credit KPIs
- Ensuring approval and positive ratings from first, second, and third-line risk functions and regulators
Required qualifications:
- Proven track record managing credit risk for mortgage products and/or credit cards, unsecured personal loans
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative/analytical field (economics, management, mathematics, engineering, statistics) from a top university
- Solid understanding of credit policy governance frameworks, credit risk models, and speed-to-market value
- Knowledge of working through second/third line of defence competently
- Forward-thinking approach to identify and resolve inter-dependencies proactively
- Ability to explain complex concepts simply
- Critical thinking skills for processing information and optimal decision-making
- Excellent working knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools with willingness to learn new technology
Nice-to-have qualifications include a master's degree and proficiency in R and Python.
