The Credit team at Revolut designs and scales lending features that power global growth, managing the entire product lifecycle from backend systems to customer-facing experiences. This role sits within that team, focused on credit risk policy and strategy for retail lending products.
As Credit Manager (Policy), you will be responsible for designing credit risk policies, procedures, and strategies for Revolut's retail lending features. You'll manage validation of underwriting strategies and lead both preventative and reactive actions in response to market and product changes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing account-level valuation and credit underwriting policies using NPV frameworks to optimize portfolio-level economic returns
- Making data-driven decisions with emphasis on marginal decision-making
- Managing credit limits, risk-based pricing, retention strategies, and over-limit policies
- Adjusting risk-return requirements and managing portfolio returns as new data emerges
- Supporting annual budget, forecast, and planning processes
- Tracking, communicating, and deriving insights from ongoing initiative performance and credit KPIs
- Identifying operational inefficiencies and managing implementation of departmental improvements
- Ensuring approval and positive ratings from first-line, second-line, third-line, and regulatory oversight
Required qualifications:
- Experience managing the risk cycle for retail credit products (credit cards, unsecured personal loans, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree from a top university in a quantitative/analytical field (engineering, statistics, physics, mathematics, economics, management)
- Solid understanding of credit policy governance frameworks and regulatory defense mechanisms
- Track record of delivering excellent results exceeding requirements
- Forward-thinking approach to planning, meeting multiple objectives, and proactively resolving issues
- Knowledge of credit and behavioral scoring models for retail credit products
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and simply
- Understanding of speed-to-market value and balance between elegant problem-solving and business needs
Nice-to-have qualifications include a master's degree, working knowledge of SQL, R, Python, or other data analysis tools, and willingness to learn new technology.
