Salary: USD 230,660 - 269,570 / annual
Roblox is seeking a Creative Director to lead the daily creative output and operations of its in-house studio team. This is a hands-on leadership role combining creative direction with operational excellence, requiring someone who can steer creative strategy, build scalable systems, and ensure seamless delivery from brief to final product without compromising quality.
You will oversee and mentor a multidisciplinary team of art directors, copywriters, and designers, raising quality standards while managing a packed production queue. You'll be equally comfortable providing sharp creative feedback and triaging workflow bottlenecks. You have advanced understanding of design, copy, and video editing, and can recognize excellence across all disciplines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Steering, reviewing, and approving creative work across design, copy, and video to ensure quality, brand alignment, and strategic relevance
- Building and refining scalable creative workflows and operational systems that enable speed without sacrificing craft
- Managing incoming briefs, setting priorities, and balancing team workloads
- Identifying and removing creative and operational bottlenecks proactively
- Mentoring direct reports through continuous feedback, coaching, and performance management
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners across marketing, product, and business teams
- Championing a team culture rooted in diversity, inclusion, creative courage, and mutual respect

Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience in creative roles with 3–5 years in a leadership or management position, ideally at a brand, agency, or production studio
- Portfolio or body of work demonstrating strong creative judgment and range
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams (designers, copywriters, editors) with demonstrated talent development
- Deep, practiced understanding of design, copywriting, and video editing; ability to recognize and provide feedback on excellence in each
- Experience building and scaling creative workflows and operational systems
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfort presenting creative work and advocating for team recommendations
- Experience managing vendor and agency relationships
- High fluency in creative tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro), Google Slides, and Keynote
- Obsession with craft and detail-oriented approach; commitment to top-tier work even on tight timelines
- Thoughtful, resilient mindset with ability to operate nimbly in ambiguity
- Self-starter mentality with ability to own domain end-to-end and manage competing priorities
