Johnson & Johnson MedTech (DePuy Synthes orthopedics division) seeks a Senior Supervisor of Quality for its Colombian operations. This is a people-management role overseeing quality analysts and the execution of GxP (Good Practice) quality systems across commercial and delivery operations in the Bogotá market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for GxP quality system execution including non-conformance/CAPA (corrective and preventive action), change control, handling, storage, and distribution management
- Oversee new product introduction (NPI) and product lifecycle management
- Manage supplier quality and regulatory compliance
- Supervise quality analysts to ensure proper execution of quality system elements and warehouse/distribution operations
- Ensure flowless execution of core GxP processes with effective stakeholder communication, prioritizing product, patient, and client outcomes
- Lead audits and prepare for health authority inspections
The role is part of J&J's planned separation of its orthopedics business into a standalone company (DePuy Synthes), anticipated to complete within 18–24 months. Upon separation, you would become a DePuy Synthes employee subject to their employment policies and benefit plans.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in pharmacy, engineering, or scientific discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in quality management related to medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or consumer products
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with issue investigation and remediation
- Knowledge of audits and health authority inspection processes
- Preferred: business acumen, compliance management, continuous improvement, ISO 9001, quality control (QC), quality management systems (QMS), standard operating procedures (SOP), team management, and inclusive leadership
