Fluidstack is building civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI at unprecedented speed and scale. The company is acquiring power, designing and operating data centers, and rethinking every layer of the stack to deploy 10-100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else.
The Legal team is being built from zero to support this massive buildout. This is an opportunity to create the legal and compliance function that will underpin a company deploying gigawatts of infrastructure. There is no inherited playbook or legacy team—you will invent solutions and set standards that the company will run on for the next decade.
As Counsel, Infrastructure, you will own the legal side of Fluidstack's data center buildout end-to-end. Key responsibilities include:
• Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements across supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement—deals that typically take quarters but must close in weeks.
• Run sophisticated negotiations with major counterparties, balancing legal risk against the speed the business demands.
• Manage outside counsel across multiple disciplines with rigor on scope, quality, and spend.
• Quarterback transactions cross-functionally with supply chain, procurement, and delivery teams to ensure deals don't stall.
• Serve as strategic legal advisor to business leaders, anticipating issues before they arise and having solutions ready.
You will need an active law license and a track record of autonomously structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements as lead counsel. Ideal candidates have direct experience in data center development, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, or technology transactions. You should have demonstrated sound judgment in high-stakes, ambiguous situations and a proven ability to manage outside counsel rigorously. Experience at both law firms and in-house, familiarity with AI tools for legal work, or background at data center or cloud companies is a bonus.
Fluidstack operates with extreme ownership, full autonomy, velocity, first-principles thinking, and a deep commitment to the frontier of AI as the most interesting problem of our time.
