Re:Build Manufacturing, through its subsidiary Cutting Dynamics LLC, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join the finance team in Avon, Ohio. The Cost Accountant will report to the Site Controller and serve as a key analytical partner to manufacturing operations, supply chain, and business development. Primary responsibilities include analyzing and maintaining standard costs for products (materials, labor, overhead); partnering with manufacturing teams to identify cost drivers and recommend efficiencies; evaluating cost structures and sales data to support pricing strategies and profitability analysis; developing detailed cost estimates and pricing models for customer quotes and long-term agreements; monitoring and reporting job cost variances; supporting monthly/quarterly/annual financial close processes; assisting with budgeting and forecasting for COGS and manufacturing expenses; ensuring inventory valuation accuracy and compliance; and collaborating across engineering, operations, and sales to align cost assumptions.
A significant component of this role involves supporting the implementation of Infor Cloud Suite Industrial (Syteline ERP), including developing new cost rates and business processes to transition from standard cost to actual cost environments. The accountant will also drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, costing methodologies, and reporting tools, including leveraging AI and process automation.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail; proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel; ability to communicate effectively across departments and present financial insights clearly; strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting; and ability to produce high-quality analysis supporting data-driven business decisions. Contract manufacturing experience is a plus, as is prior Syteline experience.
