Yoodli is hiring its first dedicated in-house legal counsel to own the commercial legal function as a genuine business partner. You will serve as the primary reviewer and negotiator for all inbound commercial agreements including customer MSAs, order forms, NDAs, and vendor contracts. You'll manage the full contract lifecycle—from intake through redlines to signature—while working closely with Sales, RevOps, Finance, and Product teams to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable business guidance. Key responsibilities include: owning contract review and negotiation for customer and vendor agreements; supporting data privacy and security compliance by reviewing DPA requirements and security exhibits; building and maintaining a library of standard templates and negotiation playbooks; directing outside counsel engagements for specialized matters; and establishing contract intake, tracking, and storage processes that give the business visibility and reduce friction. You'll report directly to the CFO and have meaningful exposure across the organization. The role requires strong judgment about which issues are worth pushing back on versus accepting, independent negotiation capability on routine matters, and the ability to know when to escalate to outside counsel without over-relying on them. Yoodli is an AI-powered experiential learning platform using AI roleplays to personalize real-life practice. The company has raised $60M (including a $40M Series B led by WestBridge Capital) and counts Google Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, RingCentral, SAP, and others as customers, with learners in over 150 countries. The role is hybrid: 3 days in-office at Seattle HQ plus 2 days remote.
