Trulioo, a global leader in digital identity verification serving 5+ billion people across 195 countries, seeks a Corporate Controller to join as a senior finance leadership hire reporting to the CFO. This is a strategic, non-maintenance role that owns the complete financial integrity of a dynamic, multi-entity, multinational organization preparing for a major liquidity event. You will lead accounting operations and the close process, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes while continuously improving efficiency. Responsibilities include GL management, journal entries, reconciliations, and technical GAAP accounting for a sophisticated pre-IPO business. You'll develop and enforce technical accounting policies governing complex areas such as equity compensation, capitalized development costs, and lease obligations, building scalable systems and process infrastructure to support compliance across the organization. Oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing operations is critical, with direct accountability for DSO, DPO, and billing accuracy metrics that impact liquidity and working capital. You'll manage payroll operations across jurisdictions in coordination with HR, maintain cash visibility, support cash forecasting with FP&A, and manage banking relationships and operational cash management. Global tax compliance across all jurisdictions where Trulioo operates falls under your purview, working with external advisors to stay ahead of obligations and minimize risk exposure. You'll manage the multi-entity corporate structure, intercompany framework, consolidations, and transfer pricing framework to ensure clean controls and proper legal entity maintenance. This role leverages AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity and optimize workflows. You'll operate as a genuine business partner alongside FP&A and the CFO, building institutional-grade infrastructure on a thoughtful timeline while maintaining the pace and prioritization required by a scaling business. The position is full-time, permanent, hybrid (3 days per week in the San Diego office), with comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision, retirement matching, paid time off, parental leave, and $1,000 annual education stipend.
