Salary: USD 130,000 - 150,000 / annual
Bizzy is a fast-growing craft beverage company on a mission to build a billion-dollar brand by 2034. They are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead and scale their accounting function.
You will report directly to the CFO and own the complete accounting operation, including month-end and year-end close, GAAP financial reporting, general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and internal controls. A significant portion of your role focuses on manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management—you'll partner with Plant Management and Operations to analyze manufacturing performance, inventory accuracy, cost of goods sold, yields, and cost variances. You'll maintain and improve ERP setups and calculations that drive manufacturing and inventory results.
You'll build weekly and monthly reporting that explains business performance versus prior periods, budget, and forecast. You'll interpret operating results and translate accounting data into clear recommendations for margin improvement, cost reduction, and stronger cash flow. You'll support the CFO with financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ad hoc analysis.
You'll lead the annual audit or review process, coordinate tax matters with external advisors, and support lender reporting and compliance requirements. You'll also lead and develop the accounting team (starting with one direct report), drive process improvement and automation across QuickBooks Online and the manufacturing ERP, and build repeatable, scalable processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful ownership of the close and financial reporting process
- Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or comparable leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; food and beverage or CPG experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting, with hands-on experience in cost accounting and inventory accounting
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and a manufacturing ERP; experience improving or implementing accounting systems is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling, scenario, sensitivity, and variance analysis capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes, explain variances, and communicate results concisely
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence to work directly with executive-level management and cross-functional leaders
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where you build the process while operating it
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred but not required
