Botpress is a Series B AI agent platform redefining enterprise customer support. As Financial Controller, you will own the financial backbone of a rapidly growing company, reporting to the VP Finance. You'll drive end-to-end accounting operations while shaping forecasts, board reporting, and financial systems that guide growth. Capital efficiency is core to Botpress's operating philosophy—this role ensures financial operations are as rigorous, automated, and AI-powered as the product itself.
Key responsibilities include leading monthly and annual close cycles with accurate, timely financial statements; managing daily accounting operations (revenue recognition, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations); automating and optimizing financial processes using AI tools; leading, mentoring, and developing a small finance team (1–2 people); directing annual audits and ensuring ongoing compliance; building and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models with the VP Finance; preparing board and investor reports including SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, burn multiple); designing and implementing scalable financial systems, controls, and processes; and collaborating with department heads on expense management, headcount planning, and unit economics.
Required qualifications: CPA designation; 5+ years progressive accounting/finance experience with 3+ years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role; strong automation mindset with proven track record; experience in a high-growth startup or SaaS company with revenue recognition and SaaS metrics expertise; hands-on FP&A experience (budgeting, forecasting, board reporting); proven history of implementing or improving financial systems, processes, and controls; attention to detail and deadline discipline while comfortable with startup ambiguity. Preferred: audit background or Big 4 experience; multi-entity or cross-border operations experience.
Botpress raised $25M in Series B funding in 2025 and operates with an AI-first architecture from day one. The company works fully in-office with a culture valuing both technical rigor and collective ambition. You'll join a team not just adapting to the AI revolution but leading it.
