The company is building the infrastructure layer for the AI era, currently 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York with rapid growth expectations.
As Contracts Manager, you will own Volta's contracting strategy across its entire fleet of projects. This is a functional leadership role managing contracts leads embedded in each project team. Your responsibilities include:
- Develop and own Volta's contracting strategy for general contractor, package, and vendor agreements
- Create standard contract forms, flow-downs, and commercial terms applied across all fleet projects
- Lead major negotiations alongside procurement and project leadership teams
- Provide functional leadership and development to contracts leads embedded in project teams
- Build claims avoidance practices and manage disputes when they arise
- Run commercial governance, delegations, and approvals across projects
- Ensure contracting standards remain compliant across multiple European jurisdictions
- Train and develop commercial capability across the delivery organization
You bring contracts leadership experience on data center or major capital projects, deep knowledge of construction contracting models and standard forms across European markets, and a strong track record in negotiation and claims management on complex builds. You have experience working across multiple jurisdictions, sound commercial judgment under delivery pressure, and the credibility to lead functionally across embedded teams. Willingness to travel across European sites is required.
