Saronic Technologies, founded in 2022 and headquartered in Austin, is a leader in autonomous surface vessels for maritime defense. As Contracts Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of DoD and federal contracts, serving as the strategic contracts authority for this growing defense contractor.
You will manage a portfolio of complex federal contracts, leading pre-award activities (solicitation review, RFP analysis), negotiation, award, modifications, performance monitoring, and closeout. You'll interpret and negotiate terms under Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), FAR, DFARS, and other federal procurement regulations. Your role bridges internal stakeholders—Programs, Finance, Legal, Proposals, and Growth teams—and external government customers and Contracting Officers.
Key responsibilities include: conducting full contract lifecycle management for DoD/federal contracts; interpreting complex contract terms with deep knowledge of OTAs, FAR, DFARS, and federal acquisition regulations; providing strategic contract advice and risk mitigation to program leadership and business development teams; serving as primary interface with government customers; monitoring contract performance, deliverables, milestones, costs, schedules, and compliance; supporting capture teams with contract strategy, pricing, and risk assessment; and staying current on procurement regulation changes to recommend policy updates.
You'll need strong analytical and financial acumen to review cost/price proposals, assess risk, and monitor performance. Excellent communication skills are essential—you'll interface with senior leadership, government officials, subcontractors, and internal teams. The role requires occasional travel to customer sites and Saronic offices.
