Peregrine Technologies, backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, is an AI-enabled platform that helps public safety organizations, state and local governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions convert siloed data into operational intelligence. The company currently supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving over 125 million people. You will serve as the critical point of contact for moving government contracts forward and closing deals. Your core responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating all sales contracts with state and local government entities. You will map contract tradeoffs to business objectives, guide customers through procurement processes (fiscal, legal, compliance), and support the sales team with pricing, delivery requirements, and regulatory compliance. Working collaboratively with legal, finance, sales, and operations teams, you'll operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment, turning around contracts quickly and identifying creative procurement pathways. You'll take ownership of the entire contracting lifecycle, demonstrating deep empathy for government funding constraints and procurement procedures. Required qualifications include 5+ years of contracting experience in enterprise software/SaaS, with strong preference for state and local government background. You must be skilled with contract lifecycle management systems and Salesforce CRM. Experience with direct contracting mechanisms and cooperative purchasing agreements is essential. You should excel at negotiating legal agreements, supporting customer onboarding, and communicating at executive levels. The role requires in-office presence 4 days per week in Washington, D.C.
