Salary: USD 155,000 - 185,000 / annual
Peregrine Technologies, backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, is seeking an expert Contract Specialist to support sales and business development efforts. The company provides an AI-enabled platform that transforms siloed data into operational intelligence for public safety organizations, state and local governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions. Currently serving hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, Peregrine is expanding into enterprise and international markets.
In this role, you will be the critical point of contact for moving deals forward and closing contracts. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating all sales contracts; mapping contract tradeoffs to business goals; guiding the procurement process (fiscal, legal, etc.); and supporting the sales team with compliance, pricing, and delivery requirements. You will work collaboratively with legal, finance, sales, and operations teams in a fast-paced, autonomous environment with the ability to turn around contracts quickly and explore creative procurement avenues.
You will take ownership of delivering contracts to customers with deep empathetic understanding of their funding and procurement processes. Key qualifications include 5+ years of contracting experience in enterprise software/SaaS, with state and local government experience strongly preferred. You should be skilled with contract lifecycle management systems and CRM software (Salesforce preferred), comfortable negotiating and closing legal agreements, and experienced with direct contracting mechanisms and cooperative purchasing agreements. Strong executive-level written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills are essential. You must be located in San Francisco and willing to work in the office 4 days per week.
